Annually, The Green Gig™ provides the community an opportunity to join in an evening of great food, heartwarming stories, and bidding for unique items and experiences to benefit early childhood education in our community.
The Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance presents: the Spring Sip n Stroll
This popular tasting event takes patrons on a tour along Gig Harbor’s beautiful waterfront sampling wines, brews, spirits, and tasty small bites at more than 20 businesses serving as “Stroll Stops.”
Participants will receive a tasting glass, a map of all Stroll Stop locations and vendors, and 15 sip tickets for alcohol, one of which can be used at Heritage Distilling.

Gig Harbor’s popular Winter Sip & Stroll wine and food tasting returns on Saturday, April 30th from 12pm – 4pm. Participants will find themselves strolling among downtown waterfront stores, restaurants and galleries– all serving as Stroll Stops – sampling wines, brews, spirits and tasty small bites. Make plans today to take advantage of Early Bird pricing while it lasts! The crowd-pleasing Sip & Strolls almost always a sell-out. The Winter Sip & Stroll is presented by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance and the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor.
Tickets are on sale now at bit.ly/wintersipandstroll2022. Early Bird tickets are $35 in advance and will save $10 off the day of event price through April 24th. Tickets are $40 from April 25- April 29th or $45 at the door on the day of the event if any tickets remain.
Participants receive a tasting glass, 15 sip tickets, and a map to guide their stroll through the Downtown Waterfront. Our wine store will be open until 5pm, featuring bottled wines served at the Stroll Stops. The Alliance will provide complimentary shuttle transportation throughout the waterfront to make it easy to visit all the Stroll Stops. This event is for ages 21+. Gig Harbor Paddlers’ Cup
Paddlers Cup is an annual community event featuring paddle racing for kayaks, canoes, SUP’s, outriggers and para-canoes, as well as dragon boat races, and benefits the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kaya Racing Team. The ream is a nonprofit community organization committed to introducing children ages 9 to 18 to the sport of Olympic canoe and kayak racing, and is the proud winner of the USA National Team Championships in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Traditionally held in April, this year’s event will happen in September 2021.

A family-friendly event to honor cancer survivors and those who have lost their battle, and to rally behind those currently fighting this battle. Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Parks Appreciation Day

What should I bring? Volunteers should wear appropriate clothes and shoes for the season, weather, and work. Bring gloves, reusable water bottles, shears, loppers, pruners, rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows – and be sure to label them with your name.
Most of all bring your enthusiasm, smiles, and appreciation for our parks. Burn a few calories and have some fun too!

Arbor Day Celebration
This annual event has been a mainstay in Gig Harbor for Arbor Day for 20 years. Currently, it is not slated for return. If you have interest in volunteering, please reach out to gigharborarbor@gmail.com.
This free event features complimentary refreshments, interactive environmental booths, children’s nature craft activities and more. Student poster and essay winners are honored, and an arborist is on hand to answer all your tree-related questions.
